Manchester City‘s Erling Haaland sustained an ankle injury during Sunday’s match against Bournemouth, and he’s set to miss seven weeks of footballing action.
Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, told journalists that he believed Haaland would return in time for the Club World Cup in June 2025.
Guardiola said the club doctors said Haaland would miss up to five to seven weeks.
The Cityzens manager explained that Haaland’s situation has highlighted the club’s predicament all season, saying it happens sometimes in football.
“We don’t have another player with his skills or his specific qualities. We know that, but we have to adapt, Guardiola said.
Haaland‘s injury occurred during a challenge with Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook.
